Medicare will pay for 100% of home care services for those 65 years of age and older when the following guidelines are met:
- Home health services are medically necessary and ordered by a physician;
- The patient is homebound, meaning that they can only leave home with considerable effort for infrequent and short periods;
- At least one skilled service is required (nursing, physical therapy, speech therapy);
- The services can only be provided on a part-time or intermittent basis. More
